Where we want to be in 2020...

Reproduction is the natural order of creation. Living things tend to reproduce. Even before our Oakville site was launched, we asked God for the privilege of starting 25 healthy, significant, reproducing congregations by the year 2020. Why? As far as we know, the largest church of any denomination in Canada is about 5,000 people (it is located out West). As the GTA’s population continues to swell – the largest Canadian church is dwarfed in influence by its unchurched environment. ANOTHER ANSWER IS NEEDED The biblical metaphors about the Kingdom of God center on multiplication, not addition. It is our vision to be “a growing group of friends giving ourselves away to build the Kingdom of God.” We build our kingdom through addition. We’re involved in building God’s Kingdom through the spiritual discipline of giving and multiplication. It’s harder, but it has the chance to take on a life of its own. MOVEMENT POTENTIAL Our vision is to be a small part in God’s incredible movement in the GTA and in the world. top |
